The Micro art project in its concept is a widely international open action that gives the possibility to spread art directly to many viewers. The micro scale helps to deal with this. The micro gallery is a mobile model built in 1:10 scale you can set up in many  public places which are not mainly meant for art  such as museums or contemporary galleries. The idea is to get with art to as many people as it's possible so the public places like windows shop, bus stops, bars, cafes are the places for micro art. The micro gallery  is a place where artist from all over the world can exhibit their works. Because it is an open project , the artists can also make their own micro galleries, they can invite other artist, they can collect their works, they can send them by mail, so that other galleries can be open in many different places at the same time. The main rule is that every picture, sculpture, video, installation has to have its equivalent in real. When you see the gallery and the micro copies, you have to be aware that the works exist in a natural scale which is 10 times bigger. The copy in 1:10 scale has to have a signature and number of the copies made.

The first group that took initiative in making such actions was polish group of artists named STRUPEK. The first exhibition of micro art took place in Belarus in 2008, and next ones were in Wolver Hampton in England and Toulouse in France. The exhibition in Porto will be the fourth.

The exhibition of micro art in Cha das Eiras presents works of : Anna Pietrzak, Yann Lacroix, Jose Oliveira, Mikolaj Malek and Joachim Monvoisin.
